Common questions
What is Firnie?
Firnie is a small interior studio in your browser. You choose a floor, a wall color and a furniture direction, and Firnie turns them into a palette you can save. See how it works.
Is Firnie free?
Yes. The Studio, the palettes and all guides are free, and there is no account to create.
Do I need to upload a photo?
No. The Studio works with our example living room. A photo of your own room makes it easier to judge the combination; see how to photograph your room.
Where does my photo go?
Nowhere. It is displayed from your device inside the browser tab and is never uploaded or stored. Read the privacy note.
Does Firnie create an AI visualization of my room?
Not yet. Firnie builds a materials palette today. AI photo visualization is planned for a future version.
What are the options I can choose from?
Three floors (natural oak, light ash, dark walnut), three wall colors (warm white, soft gray, deep blue) and three furniture directions (blue accent, cozy linen, graphite minimalism).
What does Save concept do?
It downloads a small text file with the name of your photo, your three choices and their color codes. Your photo is not included. More in your concept, saved.
Can I start from a ready-made combination?
Yes. Open any of the curated palettes or a room from the Archive; both load the combination into the Studio.
Are the colors exact paint or flooring matches?
No. They are screen approximations meant to compare combinations. Always check a physical sample in your own light; our wall color guide shows how.
