STUDIO UPDATE · 29.09.2026 · 2 min read

The Archive is open.

Firnie now has a place for rooms that stay with us: three material stories to browse when you want a fresh starting point.

Daylight studio living room with pale oak and a cobalt chair

The Studio is where you try combinations. The Archive is where we keep the ones that worked. Each room is a short story about materials, light and the life inside them.

What is in it

  • Quiet Workday: pale oak, limestone and one blue note for focus.
  • Soft Landing: plaster, moss and brass for a restful bedroom.
  • Blue Hour: inky blue and walnut for dinners that run late.

How to use it

Open a room, read what makes it work, then press Try this palette to load the closest combination into the Studio. From there you can swap a floor, a wall color or a piece of furniture, and save the result as a simple text note.

If you prefer to start from a mood rather than a room, see our curated palettes. More rooms will be added as the Archive grows.

Start with the light.

Before choosing a color, notice where the day arrives in your room. Morning and evening are different designers.
